  • Aspire of Southwest Missouri Scholarship LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP
    Amount: $1000 awarded twice annually
    Criteria: Resident of or attending school in Jasper or Newton County. Single head of household (single, legally separated, divorced, widowed) and not co-habiting with an ex-spouse, or partner; with primary physical custody of one or more children under the age of 21. See website for additional criteria.
    Deadlines:  June 15, October 15, and March 15

  • Associated General Contractors of Missouri Scholarships LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP 
    Amount: $1,000-$3,000 (College Scholarship AND/OR Skilled Trades/Vo-Tech Scholarship)
    CriteriaCollege Scholarship: Applicants MUST attend a Missouri college, university or other eligible school or such an institution which is located in a state contiguous to Missouri, on a full-time basis. The applicant’s field of study MUST be in construction or a construction-related field. Apprentice/Craft/Trade Grant Program: Applicants MUST attend a Department of Labor registered Apprenticeship Program or be pursuing a certified program. See website for additional criteria.
    Deadline: December 31 annually

  • Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000 to $7,500 per year
    Criteria: Any graduating senior may apply. Applicants will be judged on leadership, academic achievements and records, community involvement, and financial need.  Lodge number is 861 for Carl Junction High School students.
    Deadline: November 12, 2025

  • Hagan Scholarship Foundation
    Amount: see website
    Criteria: 3.5 GPA, must enroll at four-year college or university the upcoming fall semester after high school graduation, be on track to graduate from college in four (or fewer) years, 240 total work-hour requirement, income guidelines, must complete FAFSA
    Deadline: December 1, 2025

  • National Honor Society Scholarship
    Amount: $3,200-$25,000
    Criteria: To be eligible, a student must be a high school senior expecting to receive a high school diploma during the current academic year; an active member in good standing of a National Honor Society chapter, meeting all membership requirements and obligations of the local chapter; an NHS student account holder, verified by the NHS chapter adviser.     Deadline: November 24, 2025

  • Amount: varies
    Criteria: High School students who meet published program entry and participation requirements enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) at the specified time in the high school program, usually as juniors. Each year's PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test designated for entry to a particular year's competition.
    Deadline: PSAT registration takes place in September at CJHS, and the PSAT is given in October.
  • Quest Bridge Match Scholarship
    Amount: Full four-year scholarship
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior who has excelled in high school (primarily earn A's in the most challenging courses offered and demonstrate strong writing ability and intellectual curiosity). Finalists typically come from households earning less than $65,000 annually for a household of four and have minimal assets.  
    Deadline: September 30, 2025
